Today at New York Fashion Week, Kanye West surprised everyone with a last minute show and it caused a lot of controversy! The surprise show, dubbed “Yeezy Season Two”, was announced last Sunday through Twitter. The show was live streamed to theatres in nearly forty different cities. Kanye tweeted a link which prompted users to select their location and submit requests for the theatre passes that were given out on a first come, first serve basis.

Fans were lining up at cinemas across the world, but did the collection live up to its hype?
As expected the front row was filled with A-list celebrities including Kim Kardashian, North West, Anna Wintour, Riccardo Tisci, Lorde, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian. What about the Jenner’s you ask? While Kylie took a turn on the runway, Kendall Jenner was notably left out where she was sat in the 2nd row.
The runway saw an array of pale, white hair models march up and down the catwalk wearing a lot of nude tones. The aesthetic of the show was part military and futuristic. Think it sounds familiar? The styles were VERY reminiscent of the Yeezy for Adidas Collection shown in February.
Kanye’s last minute runway decision left other designers showing at NYFW unhappy. Designer Anne Bowen, who had plans to launch her new streetwear collection at the same time as West's, told Women’s Wear Daily that she was forced to move her showtime.

West succeeded in making his show one of the most talked about of NYFW but maybe not for the right reasons.
