Lazy girl's guide: Glam hair with Kardashian Beauty

The lazy girl's guide to attaining and maintaining a great blowout with the Kardashian Beauty Hair line.

The lazy girls guide to attaining and maintaining a great blowout with the Kardashian Beauty Hair line.

As much as I love beauty and I LOVE beauty products, I despise washing my hair. It's thick, long and there is so much of it that it takes forever to wash, dry and style. Not to mention that I've recently discovered a new love for exercise and have become a gym-fiend, which means a blowout never looks great for long...

That was before I discovered these handy lazy girls tips, tricks and Kardashian Beauty products which makes maintaining a great blowout slightly easier than before.

1. It's all about the base

As much as I complain about how long it takes, a sleek blowout really is the secret to maintaining chic hair throughout the week.

To esnure your blowout looks amazing, find a blow dry cream that helps smooth your hair. I love the Kardashian Beauty Smooth Styler Blow Dry Cream as it is lightweight but when used with a hair dryer and round brush really does eliminate frizz and leaves your locks silky smooth.

2. Dry shampoo is a girl's best friend

Recently a friend told me she doesn't use dry shampoo and I was genuinely shocked; it is the one hair product I CANNOT live without!

This miracle worker in a can absorbs any oily residue on your scalp while adding volume to your roots. The Kardashian Beauty Take 2 Dry Shampoo is perfect for brunettes as it doesn't have that powdery, white residue of other brands.

To revive limp second or third day hair, simply spray the Take 2 Dry Shampoo at the roots of your hair and massage the product in with your fingers then brush out your hair for an instant refresh!

3. Focus on your ends

Don't let dry or split ends ruin your look! Dry conditioner is not as popular as dry shampoo but it can make a big difference to your overall hairstyle by preventing dry texture on the ends of your hair.

The Kardashian Beauty Take 2 Dry Conditioner is a lightweight spray that revives dry ends by adding moisture and shine to your second or third day hairstyles. Brownie points for the revitalizing scent of the Take 2 Dry Conditioner which will leave your hair with a pleasant smell!

4. Braids become your best friend

Once you get to fourth day hair and no amount of dry shampoo is working to freshen up your look, it's time to opt for a braid!

Use a light-hold styling cream such as the Kardashian Beauty Twirl Me Curl-Defining Cream-Gel for texture and hold. I love alternating between two French plaits or intricate braids on each side of my head finished with a bun.

The luxurious range of Kardashian Beauty hair products are infused with rejuvenating power of Black Seed Oil to target dry, dull and overworked hair and enhance your locks' shine, lustre and body!

How to be your own travel agent in 5 easy steps

These handy hints on how to be your own travel agent will have you saving money and looking like an absolute pro.

Being your very own travel agent has never been so simple. These handy hints will have you saving money and making the most of your next unforgettably holiday.

Do yourself a favour and walk away from the big shiny travel agent's desk and knuckle down and be your own destination expert for your next holiday. Welcome to 2016 where everything your need to know is a Google search away. We know your bank account will not only thank you but you'll leave room to experience a city or country for what it's truly worth.

With these handy hints you can construct the holiday of your dreams while saving time and money and avoiding the top travel mistakes!

Do your research

The other day I was talking to a friend about how she booked a hotel in Croatia online and when she arrived in the middle of the night, it was to only find that the hotel did not even exist. Of course she pointed fingers at the booking site (as would anyone) but at the end of the day they are just an aggregation website to assist in making your choice... it's always a good idea to look a little deeper.

Read reviews, open up the individual websites of each hotel, service or experience to be confident with your choice.

Shop around for the best deal

Again, this involves searching for the nitty gritty. Most trusted accommodation sights can guarantee you the best deals, but for flights head to SkyScanner or Expedia. Once you get a good idea of which airline to go with, head to their direct website and see how prices vary. Remember, Wednesday is almost always the cheapest day to fly.

Location is everything

The first thing I look at when I search for accommodation is location, not only which suburbs would be the best to stay in but also the location of the accommodation within those chosen suburbs. There's no point fan girling over a cute boutique hotel if it's a 950m trek from the closest trainstation.

If you're hiring a car in a place like LA this might not matter as much, but location is still important in reducing your uber fees for nights out.

Show me the money!

If you want to get more bang for your buck, the first thing you need to do is research which travel money cards give the best exchange rates. Then, instead of just transferring money willy-nilly... keep an eye on currency forecasts and see how they're changing and pick your prime time. This doesn't always work out but if you can manage to save money this way it's a huge bonus.

Another great way to save money is book long haul legs of the trip overnight, so you can sleep on the train, plane or barge instead of renting another hostel or hotel for the night. Sure... you're probably not going to get the best sleep of your life but who cares because you'll be waking up in a whole new destination with more time and money at your disposal!

Other handy hints

Browsing destinations on Pinterest and Instagram will get the inspiration juices flowing and give you awesome ideas on things to see and do.

If you're heading to number of destinations, it's definitely worth while picking up a lonely planet book to find the best restaurants and cafes. Photocopy the pages or take photos of them on your phone so you don't have to cart around a heavy book!

Say it isn't so, Zayn Malik & Gigi Hadid have split!

The day you were never hoping to see, Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have reportedly broken up.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid breakup

With all the celebrity breakups happening recently – from Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris calling it quits, the complicated Johnny Depp and Amber Heard divorce and Kylie Jenner and Tyga being over – it seems May was most definitely the month of splits!

Blame it on the stars (and by this we mean astrology not the actual celebrities... but that too) or the potential of hot summer flings being too strong, but it seems the celebrity breakups are not over yet.

It appears Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid's 'pillowtalk' has been short lived. E! News has reported that the couple have broken up after only 7 months of dating! We know, we're heartbroken too!

A source told E! News that the couple has been on a rocky road for a while now, "During her birthday they were fighting," adding that they weren't doing well then, and have "broken up and got back together a few times." Not going to lie, if our boyfriend sang songs that passionate about his ex (looking at your Perrie Edwards) we would be wary too.

Although the singer (23) and the supermodel (21) only dated for a few months, they appeared to move things along very quickly, remember that Mario Testino Vogue spread the couple shot in Italy?! #COUPLEGOALS

There has been no word on who ended the relationship, although we would totally be team Gigi. But hey, maybe this is just one of their little tiffs, let's not lose hope yet okay?

9 Ways to survive winter when you're single AF

Winter has arrived! And as joyful as it is that we fashionistas can finally embrace layering, the cold weather can be tough when you don't have a designated 'cuddle buddy'.

It's hard to stay positive and remember all the great things about the #singlelife when all your friends are staying in with their partners and you're left to fend for yourself in the cold harsh winter (us... dramatic? NAH!).

The following are nine things we single pringles can do to ensure we get through winter... because unfortunately hibernating is not an option.

1. Buy your wine in bulk

The only thing worse than sitting on the couch solo, shivering while you watch the latest episode of GOT, is sitting on that couch without a glass of Pinot Noir in hand. Make sure you have plenty of wine to warm up your cold heart through the cold winter nights by buying your booze in bulk.

Buying wine in bulk helps you survive winter single

2. Invest in a body pillow

Get yourself a body pillow, or uhm... "boyfriend pillow" (maybe you can get your hands on one with Ryan Gosling's face?) to spoon and cuddle at night.

We also advise a really cosy dressing gown... or snuggie if you dare. There's no one to judge your after all.

3. Sign up to a gym

OKAY just hear us out! During summer it's really easy to keep active but when the cold weather arrives even getting out of bed can be a feat. To keep yourself mentally sane and relieve frustration, warm up and ensure your body is toned AF come summer, keep yourself busy during long winter nights by signing up to the gym.

4. Learn to cook

When it's cold and dark by 5.00pm there isn't much desire to be gallivanting about town, what better time to finally practice all those delicious recipes you've been bookmarking?

5. Get a furry friend

Unconditional love, companionship and a little heater to snuggle? Just like a boyfriend without all the heartbreak and drama – YES PLEASE!

6. Keep warm

Getting into a cold bed is probably one of the worst feelings in the world, once you finally heat up, you lie there trying not to move incase you touch a cold spot. Seriously babe, you need an electrical blanket in your life. SERIOUSLY...

7. Indulge in bubble baths... every night

Just add Netflix, wine and why not even snacks, and you're set for a relaxing evening!

8. Have something to look forward to

Plan an overseas holiday or a road trip with friends when summer comes back around. This way you will have something to focus on and look forward to.

9. Do something spontaneous that you'd never do

The best thing about being single is that the only person you have to please is yourself! So, why not do something spontaneous - and a little selfish - this winter and revel in your single status. Whether that's a spontaneous activity, extravagant splurge or a last minute holiday to Europe (only recommended if you can actually afford it).

Despite the fact that being single can become lonely, it really is one of the only times in life you can solely focus on you. Use these tips to get you through the cuddle weather, focus on your own happiness and just 'do you' babe!

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris call it quits

So it seems that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris haven't 'found love' after all.

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris Split

After 15 blissful months of writing their initials in the sand on tropical islands, floating on inflatable swans, and being our overall couple goals, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have announced their relationship is officially over.

E News has reported that the split is due to the romance naturally fizzling out, despite the pair seeming to only be get stronger and stronger.

"Taylor and Adam (Harris' real name) had no big blowout fight, but the romance just was not there anymore for them. Adam is the one that ended it. It was all done in a very mature fashion. Taylor is pretty upset but they are still in communication,” a source told E News.

Another source has stated that despite the couples strong chemistry on social media and at events, there wasn't much going on behind closed doors.

"They were just not very compatible in different areas in their relationship. The touring and traveling didn't help. It seemed like they were more friends than lovers," an insider told E News.

However, it does seem that Tay is adamant that the pair is 'never getting back together'; as she felt that Harris never tried to meet her needs.

"Taylor was really disappointed in Calvin and felt like he wasn't there for her. The relationship wasn't progressing the way she wanted it to. She felt like he wasn't taking it seriously enough and wouldn't come through for her when she needed him most,” said the source.

Despite the pair stating that there's no 'bad blood' between them, we are wondering if Harris has now filled the major 'blank space' for Swift's next album.

Rain, hail or shine for the Dior Resort 17 show

The one thing that even Dior can't control is the weather.

A photo posted by Aimee Song (@songofstyle) on

The idea of an afternoon tea party out in the garden of Blenheim Palace for Dior's Resort 17 show was slashed by a downpour of rain and sleet. How strange for it to be raining miserably in England right?

That same treacherous weather in fact shut down train tracks all throughout London for almost an hour... causing almost the entire guest list for the Dior show to be 45 minutes late.

In order to get to the fashion show, guests were expected to board The Orient Express, or the 'Dioriant' express as it was soon termed by social media stars.

Once on-board and en-route to the Palace, guests were treated to a three course gourmet meal which, in our books, would have made it well worth the wait.

The venue was also complete with its own Pub, the Lady Dior for guests to enjoy a good ol' pint after the spectacle.

Is anyone else wondering why on earth Dior (a notoriously French fashion house) is crossing the channel over to the dreary UK? To our surprise this is actually the third show of Dior's to be shown in this iconic British Palace, with two previously taking place in 1954 and 1958.

Of course the new face of Dior Beauty, notorious Bella Hadid was on the runway, which meant her talented musician Beau, The Weekend, wasn't too far away in the front row.

The transport, although delayed looked lavish and the location was certainly amazing. The collection however.... very questionable.

It looks like they've raided an English grandmother's wardrobe and added some bold eye-make up to transform it into high fashion. See for yourselves...

I guess that's what you get for not having a creative director. After Raf Simmons stood down for the role last October, the house of Dior still hasn't found a replacement.
