Review: Nothing is Promised (feat. Rihanna)

'Nothing is Promised' has everyone asking if the song itself is too predictable?

2016 is truly a blessed year for new Rihanna material with the release of her eighth studio album “Anti” as well as collaborations with Calvin Harris, Kanye West and Drake. Now on top of all of that Mike Will Made-It has delivered his new collaboration with the Barbadian songstress and I guess you could say it's lit.

“Nothing Is Promised” is a strong and confident urban track that perfectly captures her talk-sing vocals with Mikes thick beats that made “Formation” and “We Can't Stop” massive hits. The production and structure is very similar to “Pour It Up” and has already received a lot of comparisons and critiques.

Is the song too predictable? Because let's be honest, this is exactly how you imagined their collaboration would sound. The hook is repetitive but not annoying like it could've been and for the pop Rihanna fans it's catchy enough to get stuck in your head.

“Ain't none of this shit promised, ain't none of this promised. Ain't none of the shit certain, ain't none of this certain. Ain't none of us perfect, I hope it was worth it”. This is another weekend banger which will keep the Rihanna Navy happy until the next collaboration drops.
