Get the guy: 6 ways to leave him begging for more

Take note of these habits next time you're under the covers with a new lover and leave an impression that will have him back begging for more!

Sexy girl looking good in bed

Getting under the covers with a new lover for the first time is equally as exciting as it is daunting. You can't yet determine his intentions; how do you know whether he is in it for a one night thing or the long run?

Nothing hurts your 'dating confidence' more than being ghosted after sleeping with a potential partner for the first time. That's why it's imperative to make a good impression in the bedroom . We all want to be so amazing that he can't get you out of his head, right?!

[RELATED: 10 Signs that tell him you are great in the bedroom]

What makes great sex? It is the unexplained connection, well-practiced skills or a reflection on your experience? Here are 6 things to keep in mind under the covers to make sure you leave a great impression!

Exude confidence

We all know there's nothing sexier than confidence! To ooze sex appeal you have to be comfortable with your own body. If you are able to openly love and touch your body, so will he... over and over again.

Be open to trying new things

Whether it is not judging your partner's fantasies or allowing yourself to identify your own inner fantasies, being open to turn-ons is hot! Nothing kills the vibe faster than a partner who is judgemental in the bedroom.

Take control

Being assertive and self-assured is sure to give him a night he won't soon forget.

Be aware of your body

We aren't suggesting you overthink every situation, because sex is all about getting 'out of' your head after all, but be mindful of your posture. Men are visual and that sexy image of you arching your back will stick in his mind for days to come.

Don't be afraid to play rough

Sure, there is a time and place for passionate love-making, but don't be afraid to get a little rough... especially if you want it to be a night he remembers! Brownie points if you're the one initiating the kinky-play. Bite his shoulder, tug at his hair, dig your fingers into his back with urgency and tell him how much you want to be spanked.

Talk dirty

Go on, we dare you, say those things your parents would never want to hear you say...

These bedroom ways are sure to leave him lusting after another night with you!

A guide to the Channel 7 Brisbane Racing Carnival

It's that time of year again. The annual Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival will be commencing at Doomben and Eagle Farm racecourses from the 14th of May until the 11th of June. And this year there are seven exhilarating group one races, as well as countless opportunities for carnival goers to dress to impress.

Women at races with headwear

This year's ambassador of the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival is former competitive surfer and television personality, Liz Cantor, who, for the first time in history, is being joined by two fashion ambassadors, Damien Anthony Rossi and Sammie O'Brien.

For the third year in a row, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is the official fashion partner of the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival, and will be giving race-goers the opportunity to win over $20,000 in prizes at the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre Fashions on the Field events, hosted every weekend of the Carnival.

UBET BTC Cup Day

The Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival will kick off with the UBET BTC Cup Day, hosted on the 14th of May. This first day will see the Carnival's biggest race, the Group 1 $500,000 UBET BTC Cup, featuring the likes of Black Caviar and Apache Cat. Entertainment includes Daryl Braithwaite and the Carnival Social package, hosted by Future Racing Network.

The dress code for this day is Bold Colour, with the flower preference being salmon rose. This is the first day of Indooroopilly Shopping Centre's Fashions on the Field, so to ensure you have a chance to win, wear rich winter tones of mustards and burgundy, or bright, bold colours of vibrant blues and magenta. Men's attire must incorporate the winter racing dress standards of a suit or trousers and jacket, collared shirt, tie and dress shoes. For this day, men can incorporate a pop of colour into their attire, through a colourful tie or pocket square, to ensure their outfit is taken into account for $2,000 worth in prizes for the Fashions on the Field.

Gates open for members at 9.30 am, and for the public, 10 am.

Hardy Brothers Doomben Cup Day

Hosted at the Doomben Racecourse on the 21st of May, the Hardy Brothers Doomben Cup Day will be a star studded event featuring four Group races and entertainment by DJ duo Mashd n Kutcher. Race-goers will also have the opportunity to rub shoulders with their favourite celebrities, including Anna Heinrich and Tim Robards, at the Seven Sins Star Party.

The dress code of the day is Fashion Forward, with the flower being Scottish thistle. This is a day to truly push the fashion boundaries of traditional racewear, through incorporating this season's hottest trends, including bold, graphic prints and eastern influences. For men, adding clever accessories, seasonal mismatched prints and coordinating suit separates will help to push the style boundaries.

Gates open for members at 9.30 am, and for the public, 10 am.

Races fashions on the field

James Boag's Premium Doomben 10,000 Day

Commencing on the 28th of May at Doomben Racecourse; the James Boag's Premium Doomben 10,000 Day will feature an unmissable $750,000 Group 1 race. On this day, the Punter's Den package will provide race-goers with the ultimate experience, as well as Dragon performing after the last race.

Race-goers are given the opportunity to win over $3, 000 worth in Fashion on the Field prizes if they adhere to the day's dress code of A Touch of Metallic, with the flower being yellow rose. Combine structured pieces with hints of gold, silver, bronze and rose gold into your race day outfit for an on trend look. Incorporate metal-toned accessories within your outfit, or an elaborate metallic headpiece or crown to complete your look. For men, wearing a steel blue or grey suit with a standout tiepin or cufflinks will add a touch of metallic to their aesthetic.

Gates open for members at 9.30 am, and for the public, 10 am.

Treasury Casino & Hotel Ladies' Oak Day

On the 4th of June, the Treasury Casino & Hotel Ladies' Oaks Day will take place at Eagle Farm Racecourse. This will be the first race day after the Heritage listed racecourse's 1.2 billion restoration. The day will celebrate fierce femininity, as well as Australia and New Zealand's best fillies competing in the $500,000 Treasury Casino & Hotel Queensland Oaks.

More than $5,000 worth in prizes will be available with the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre Fashions on the Field, with the flower of the day being white rose, whilst the dress code is Ladylike Glamour for women and a Touch of Pastel or Floral for men. This season's fashion trend of Victorian-inspired garments will work perfectly for this race day, with lace, florals, feathers and a soft colour palette complimenting this look. For men, incorporate soft pastel tones, florals or a checked shirt with pale chinos and a contrasting sports jacket will create an appropriate aesthetic for the race day.

Gates open for members at 9.30 am, and for the public, 10 am.

AAMI Stradbroke Day

Commencing on the 11th of June at the Eagle Farm Racecourse, this is the final day of the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival. This day is steeped in pride, prestige and tradition, with the offering prize money of $3.9 million across the day, which includes three Group 1 and Group 2 races. Stay tuned for the announcement of the live entertainment which will close this year's Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival.

Race-goers, who abide by the dress code of Black and White with a Touch of Red, will have the chance to win over $8,000 worth in prizes with Indooroopilly Shopping Centre's Fashions on the Field. Classic, monochromatic racewear will ensure your ensemble is effortlessly chic. Incorporate a pop of red with bold lips, or accessories and headwear. For men, adorn a red tie or pin a simple red rose, which is the flower of the day, to their lapel for the day.

Gates open for members at 9 am, and for the public, 9.30 am.

The 10 movies you need to watch to forget your f* boy

These must watch films will help you get over that guy that messed with your heart!

Girls laying on bed eating chocolate

Sometimes after you've been majorly hurt by a f*boy, a woman's only comfort is chocolate, girlfriends and movies.

These 10 films, perfect for a girls night, will help mend your heart and make you feel empowered again.

He's Just Not That into You

When guys are jerks it just means that they like you, right? He's Just Not Into You features nine people confronting the big issues of their relationships, from admitting they're #CatchingFeels to making the commitment. You will definitely relate to multiple of these relationship struggles! (We admit that we might be guilty of checking our phones multiple times to see if he's messaged).

The Break Up

With arguments beginning with “why don't you do this one thing for me”, Brooke (Jennifer Anniston) and Gary (Vince Vaughn) decide to call it quits on their once enviable relationship. The petty arguments and actions that result take a hilarious, yet completely heartbreaking look at the stages of a break up. However, the bittersweet ending proves that you'll eventually be ok.

John Tucker Must Die

If the title alone isn't enticing enough to watch, this is the ultimate movie to inspire you to get even with your f* boy (although, perhaps don't switch up his protein powder with estrogen...). After finding out that they're all dating the same guy, 3 of the most popular girls in school recruit the new girl to ruin John Tuckers reputation, and ultimately, break his heart.

How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days

This is a classic for our inner crazy. Andie (Kate Hudson), an advice columnist, is given the project of “how to lose a guy in 10 days”. Meanwhile, mega player Ben (Mathew McConaughey) makes a bet than any woman can fall in love with him in 10 days. From photo shopping their children, to making copies of his apartment keys, this movie will have you forgetting about your silly f* boy in minutes!

Crazy Stupid Love

Two words: Ryan. Gosling. However in this role Gosling plays the town's player who befriends newly divorced Cal (Steve Carell), and decides to teach him his player ways. A long list of cringe-worthy, yet hilarious, encounters ensue as Cal navigates the dating scene. Plus Ryan Gosling #CatchingFeelings for Hannah (Emma Stone) is just too cute.

[RELATED: 7 TV Shows every single girl needs to binge watch]

No Strings Attached

Two friends decide to take things to the next level. However, roles are reversed with Emma (Natalie Portman) not wanting to have anything serious, whereas Adam (Ashton Kutcher) is a true romantic. With the ground rules of no dating, no spending the night, no putting each other in their emergency contact list, and ending the “relationship” one starts to have feelings, this friends with benefits is set to be a success.

Are We Officially Dating

Three friends make the pact to stay single, however simple promises can't always be kept. The film gives insight into the golden rules of f* boys, such as no seeing a girl more than twice in 2 weeks, or inviting her to the apartment. However rules are broken, and there is something so satisfying about seeing f* boys admitting they have feelings. Plus, man-candy like Zac Efron eating ice cream to mend his broken heart is always appreciated.

Trainwreck

Taking a fresh approach to traditional rom-coms, Trainwreck is possibly one the most #GirlBoss movies of all time. After the saying “monogamy isn't realistic” was drilled into her by her father from a young age, journalist Amy (Amy Schumer) isn't about making the commitment. However, things change when she meets the sports doctor she's writing an article on.

Something Borrowed

This film will hit you right in the feels! After befriending her Law School crush, Dex (Colin Egglesfield), Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) introduces him to her best friend Darcy (Kate Hudson). However, the two hit it off and Rachel is left heartbroken. Fast forward a few years and the two are getting married, yet there is still major chemistry between Rachel and Dex.

Just Friends

This hilarious rom-com proves that the friend-zone isn't forever. Chris (Ryan Reynolds) has been in love with his best friend Jamie (Amy Smart) since before he can remember. However after confessing his feelings, Chris leaves his hometown and Jamie behind to pursue a new, emotionless life as a successful record executive. Yet when he is forced to spend Christmas with his family, Chris finds himself falling for Jamie again.

How to overcome nerves & anxiety to start dating again

Is stress, worry or anxiety preventing you from dating again? Are you worried about having another bad dating experience?

Get over the fear and anxiety of dating again

Perhaps one of your goals for this year is to be in a fulfilling relationship, which means you may need to start dating and meeting some new people. If you are feeling anxious or worried about your next date, you are probably thinking about all the possible things that could go wrong.

You might be worried that you are too shy, will say the wrong thing, or what if you don't “click” with the other person and the date is boring...

Anxiety is self-fulfilling

Anxiety is an emotion, and when we feel anxious we are worrying and thinking about what we don't want and what could go wrong. Have you ever thought about something going wrong on a date, then when it happened you said “I knew it was going to happen”?

It became a self fulfilling prophesy because it has been proven scientifically that your mind is unable to differentiate between what you vividly image and what is real. Therefore, regardless of whether you focus on what you want or what you don't want to happen on a date, you will make it happen with your thoughts and actions.

Stop pressuring yourself and enjoy your date

Many people put too much pressure on the date – they either put too much pressure on themselves to create a great first impression or too many expectations of their date, and even both.

Take the pressure off and keep the following five tips in mind:

1. Have a clear outcome for your date

Most people go on a date without any idea of what they wish to achieve. It is like when you go shopping and you have no idea what you want; you walk away unhappy.

Think about the following prior to your date: Is it a first date, second or subsequent date? What would you like to achieve on that date? Would you like to better get to know the other person through conversation, or build an emotional connection with them?

By having a clear outcome, you will know the type of conversation to have. Then you can relax and allow yourself to comfortably communicate and enjoy your date.

2. Have a way of knowing that your date was successful

If you are unsure how you will measure the date was successful, then you may have a successful date and not even know it! Instead, think about the following.

How will you know that your date was a success? Will your conversation flow easily? Will you feel a connection? Will you discuss catching up again? Will you receive a compliment? Will you have an enjoyable time or laugh a lot? Or something else?

[RELATED: Is your fear of being alone sabotaging potential love?]

3. Only focus on one step at a time

Prior to and during your date only think about that date – be fully present and in the moment. Avoid thinking about the next date, moving in together, getting married and having children with this person. If you think too far ahead you will start to change the conversation in this direction, and you could push your date away. Instead, stay in the moment and enjoy the date.

4. Get to know each other

As you are in the moment, get to know each other. Look out for signs of compatibility and connection. Use these signs to help you to know if there is potential there, and if you would like to have another date. Avoid being too hasty because sometimes you need at least two dates before you can determine this. Give yourself and your date a chance.

5. Visualise success

Prior to your date, imagine it being a success and only focus on your outcome. Only think about what you want, and see yourself having a successful date.

Imagine how much you look forward to your next date by focusing on what you want, and how much more you enjoy your date.

Find out why Saké Restaurant & Bar Ladies Lunch is the best thing you'll experience this weekend.

Sake Restaurant ladies lunch menu starring steamed edamame and kingfish jalapeno

Brisbane is becoming a city of fusion where no matter you're craving - there's always new flavours to try. Which is why you need to clear your diaries for the ultimate weekend luncheon. Why? Because once you go Saké, you'll be devoted for life!

What's the hype about?

Saké Restaurant & Bar Eagle Street Pier is the place to be with a ladies lunch special each weekend, putting the sparkle into everyone's social calendar.

Gather the girls on a Saturday or Sunday, where you can enjoy a six-course set menu until 2.30pm with a glass of bubbles ($59 per person), or indulge in the two-hour bottomless bubbles package ($110 per person).

What's on the menu?

Start with steamed edamame then enjoy some of Saké's signature dishes, including kingfish jalapeño with yuzu soy, steamed prawn shumai, Japanese eggplant with niku chicken miso, as well as the chef's selection of sushi. Finish your dining experience with a delicate chocolate cake featuring mouth-watering raspberry infusions.

Why should you lunch?

Inside Sake Restaurant on Eagle Street Pier

The scrumptious dishes look like works of art and better yet, taste incredible (we're not lying!). The fresh ingredients and jaw dropping flavours will leave you raving and craving more!

The intimate setting and relaxed vibe means that you and the girls will enjoy bubbles and chats in a calm, sophisticated environment.

The hero dish?

Sake Restaurant ladies lunch menu starring steamed prawn shumai

Of course, this is up to individual interpretation but if I had to choose I would have to say the Steamed Prawn Shumai. Each bite released a puff of heaven... While praising the traditional taste of a dumpling, the unexpected twist of noodles and the slick, soft combination left me in awe.

The aftermath?

Sake Restaurant ladies lunch menu starring chefs sushi selection

I left feeling satisfied as if I had been transported to the ultimate, foodie heaven. The refreshing, clean tastes had me asking if booking a same-day dinner reservation would be too enthusiastic? Though we had indulged in a fair few dishes - it wasn't overwhelming and I left feeling light and content.

Final thoughts?

The chefs have curated the perfect menu for ladies who lunch. With each plate complimenting each other and the selection and size portion being created with this in mind - it feels personal and will take you by surprise in the best possible way.

Note: Ladies lunches are available for groups of four or more. To make a booking phone 07 3015 0557.

Secret essentials: The underwear every woman needs

A complete list of the not-so-sexy but totally essential and practical undergarments for every outfit.

Kim Kardashian in spanx and practical underwear every woman needs

As usual, the world has gone crazy over Kim Kardashian's latest revelation. The reality star has announced that she wears not one, but two layers of spanx under certain outfits on a day-to-day basis, to carefully curate her famous curves.

This has got us thinking, if Kim Kardashian, arguably one of the sexiest women alive, can rock these not-so-glam undergarments over sex appeal, why can't we?

Of course, there is still a definite time and place to dust off your lacy lingerie and take them for a ride, but for the most part, why shouldn't we take the practical approach?

Here are some of the essential practical undergarments and accessories that will have you held in (and up) in all the right places.

Strapless bra, seamless underwear and convertible bra underwear essentials

1. The strapless bra

The most important undergarment essential; every woman needs to own a well-fitting strapless bra. Visit a lingerie store and get fitted for a shape and size that best suits your body, you won't regret it!

2. Seamless underwear

They may not be the cutest of panties, but these bad boys are a lifesaver. Say goodbye to pesky underwear lines in even the slinkiest of outfits and say hello to a smooth derrière 24/7.

3. Hollywood tape

It holds down fly-away hems and gaping necklines, Hollywood tape is the true hero of the red carpet. Be sure to keep a roll of this stuff in your top drawer, just in case!

4. Convertible bra

A bra that works with just about any outfit, what more could you ask for? If you know all too well the struggles of being a busty woman and attempting to wear a stick-on, you need to grab yourself a bra that not only plunges with your neckline but can transform to hide under anything from a halter top to a strapless dress. It's everything you need in one!

Slip dress, stick-on bra and shape-wear underwear essentials

5. Slip dress

The slip succeeds in subtly smoothing and shaping your figure, without the discomfort of a corset. The best part, they're not half ugly either!

6. Stick-on bra

The sticky bra: the holy grail of underwear. This sneaky, skin coloured contraption blends in seamlessly with the natural contour of your body and is the perfect addition to your favourite backless dress. Our only warning: don't wear a sticky bra when the forecast is hot! Sweat = no stick!

7. Shape-wear

Shorts, bodysuits or briefs... you name it, they make it. Don't be afraid to take a leaf out of Kim's book and suit up under your next daunting dress and radiate confidence and style.

Forget going commando, grab yourself some of these figure-hugging, drawer essentials and ensure that you're never stuck for an undergarment again.

A guide to essential skincare for winter with Waterlily

As winter approaches, it is essential to change up your skincare with repairing and nourishing additions.

Waterlily James Street spa and skincare products

I was recently invited to visit the beautiful Waterlily Skin Body Spa Concept Store on James Street, where I experienced their seasonal Superfood Marula Honey Spa Facial and enjoyed their gorgeous skin and body products.

While Waterlily's natural, active-ingredient products are the perfect additions to your winter skincare routine, their indulgent Marula Honey Spa Facial treatment is the most relaxing and revitalising experience for the skin and the soul.

Winter skincare essentials

Just as our bodies perform better and looks great with healthy eating, our skin looks its best from great skincare with quality ingredients.

According to Waterlily founder Michelle Reeve, the cooler temperatures and harsh conditions of winter means our complexion demands a richer emulsion to hydrate the deeper layers of our skin. Reeve recommends choosing omega rich plant oils, which are naturally high in skin protecting antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and phyto-nutrients.

Waterlily skincare products for winter skincare routine

Opt for a creamy milk cleanser like the Waterlily Palmarosa & Geranium Hydrating Milk Cleanser both morning and night, along with a crème and clay exfoliant every second or third day. The Waterlily Clarifying Fruit Gommage is perfect for refining and brightening while getting rid of any dry or flaking skin.

After cleansing, use a serum like the Waterlily Botanical Renewal Serum to protect your skin from dryness, dehydration, fine lines and wrinkles while boosting the skins immune function, skin texture and tone.

Complete your skincare routine with a repair crème for daily hydration. The Waterlily Green Tea and Rose Omega Crème is a buttery formula layered with omega rich soothing oils, anti-ageing vitamins and enriched with antioxidants to nurture sensitive skin to a youthful dewy softness.

Winter body care essentials

Often we focus so much on facial skincare that we neglect our body; I know I surely do!

The bodycare product Reeve cannot live without is the Waterlily Moroccan Melt Body Balm, “A molten cocktail of mango seed butter, shea butter, cocoa butter and coconut blended with six omega rich oils, vitamins and essential oils melt like silk into the skin leaving it supple, soft and super hydrated all day long”.

The Superfood Marula Honey Spa Facial

Waterlily marula oil and honey spa facial for winter

This seasonal spa facial is created by utilising superfood ingredients; a current trend within the beauty industry.

The treatment combines active natural ingredients and contains African marula oil, local Australian honey, beta glucan - a super nutrient which powerfully boosts the skins immune system while promoting collagen production and skin rejuvenation, super hydrating colloidal oatmeal, marshmallow root – to promote skin cell regeneration, reduce puffiness and redness and boost hydration, and a combination of vitamin C, A, E and B5.

Once I entered the James Street concept store, I escaped my stress and worries for an hour of indulgence.  Prior to and during my treatment, Waterlily's beauty therapist encouraged me to be calm, relaxed and in-the-moment. I especially love how each product is luxuriously massaged into your skin, giving you time to take in the beautiful aromas. Although the products are fragrant, they did not cause any irritation to my sensitive skin, as all ingredients are natural.

As with any Waterlily spa treatment, it is impossible for me to pick a favourite aspect of the complete facial treatment. However the most unique point of difference, is the method of Waterlily's masque. The thick, warm liquid is applied all over your face, including over your eyes, which is just the most luxurious experience.

I left Waterlily feeling relaxed with skin that looked and felt rejuvinated, plump and radiant!

The Marula Honey Spa Facial treatment is a 60 minutes treatment for a cost of $140.

For glowing skin and to experience the new seasonal skin treatment, book your facial at the Waterlily Concept Store or enquire about Waterlily's local Spa Partners by contacting 07 3390 3988 or email enquiries@waterlilyskinbodyspa.com.au.

Deal breakers: 7 reasons he didn't ask for another date

The things you did on your first date to make him run for the hills and not call you back.

Things you did on the first date that caused him to not call you back

Dating, it's rough out there! As we've seen in movies such as 'How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days' and 'He's Just Not That Into You', there are a few things us ladies tend to do that seem to do a lot more harm than good.

But instead of sitting at home this Saturday night with a tub of Ben & Jerry's, read on and figure out exactly what you did to send him running for the hills and get back out there with all the knowledge you need to keep him keen, for a whole lot longer than just a few hours.

Here is a run down of the biggest dating no-no's that will have him running for the hills faster than you can say 'see you later'!

1. You were late

There is nothing guys hate more in this world, (except maybe Sex and the City), than waiting around. Whether he picked you up or you met at the restaurant, it is the height of rudeness to leaving him hanging.

He doesn't want to hear excuses like you 'couldn't decide on a dress' or your 'mum called for a chat', unless your car broke down or your cat died, there's really no excuse for tardiness.

2. You drank way too much

There is nothing wrong with letting your hair down and enjoying a refreshing glass (or two) of red after a long week at work. However, what can start out as an innocent icebreaker can go downhill very quickly.

No guy wants to scrape you off the floor - or hold your hair - on the first date. Our advice, slip slowly – semi-sobriety is key!

3. You brought up your ex

Ah, the ex - the always awkward conversation killer. A tearful account of your break up, angry analysis of his new girl's Instagram, or loving reflection on your romantic getaway to Fiji are all going to have him reaching for his jacket before you can even begin to realise what you've done wrong.

4. You talked the whole time

First dates, they're all about discovering each other right?

They're new and exciting and of course he wants to hear all about your job, your friends and your interests, but an hour recount of your family tree or a blow by blow description of your latest business deal, maybe save these for later! As pretty as the sound of your voice is, he doesn't want to hear it for 3 hours straight. Be sure to ask about him – and really listen.

The reasons he isn't calling you back for a second date; you ordered a salad

5. You ordered the salad (and then ate half of his fries)

We all know the eternal struggle when it comes time to order; "do  I smile and order a side salad, or give in and get what I really want"? The answer is pretty clear in our books, order the steak!

Guys love a girl with an appetite and you won't freak him out two months down the track when you suddenly start doubling your portion sizes.

However, if you do opt for something light, don't let those hands start to wander (over to his plate that is).

6. You were on your phone the whole time

Remember when you were a kid and there were no phones allowed at the dinner table? Your parents were right, this golden rule should stick with you for life!

There is nothing more crushing than telling someone something you find super interesting and looking over to see their head buried in their phone. It tells him that you don't care, so why should he?

7. You didn't reach for the cheque

The cheque dance... We all know how it goes, you reach for your purse and he snatches it our of your hands and proudly hands his card to the waiter. It might seem like a pointless exercise, but guys like to feel needed. Treating you to dinner makes him feel manlier than ever, why would you deny him that!?

[RELATED: The signs that he has totally unleashed your inner crazy]

So, there you have it. Are you the culprit behind one (or more) of these dating crimes? If so, don't fret. Use this list as your go to guide for what not to do, and you'll have more dates than you could ever dream of.

Ariana's mum has adorable reaction to her new album

Ariana Grande's mum has a seriously giggle worthy reaction to her daughter's new hit!

Ariana Grande has stolen our hearts time and time again with everything from her super cute half-up do, to her adorable Nonna - whom she brought as her date to last year's AMA's.

This time, it's her very own mum making headlines, as fans everywhere go crazy over her new Instagram video giving us a sneak peak of her supportive mum, Joan Grande's heart-warming reaction to hearing her daughter's newest album 'Dangerous Woman' for the very first time. #MUMGOALS!

A video posted by Ariana Grande (@arianagrande) on

As you can see there is a lot of shrieking, also a lot of hand-waving, because Joan is just that into the music! Although let's face it, she is probably slightly biased as a mother, but can you really fake that kind of enthusiasm?

The Instagram video has us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside as Mother's Day approaches.

If this doesn't make you smile on a Friday morning, we don't know what will. We do know for sure that we can't wait to get our hands on 'Dangerous Woman' and see for ourselves if it is truly this exciting.

Leading up to her album release, Ariana has been releasing hit after hit and we love this new grown-up sound!

Ariana Grande's 'Dangerous Woman' album will drop on May 20th so be sure to grab yourself a copy and we sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as her mum did!

10 Style & beauty things guys hate but won't admit

A brutally honest look at what he really thinks of your style and beauty.

Beauty and fashion styles that guys hate but won't admit

Ah, what we all would give for a day inside our boyfriend's head. If women are from Venus and men really are from Mars, then I'd have to say we're all pretty sane here on Venus.

As girls we tend to be pretty up front when it comes to what we find sexy (or alternatively, not so hot). Over on Mars, guys seem to have a secret pact to keep their lips sealed and keep us guessing.

We've ventured into the crazy labyrinth that is the male psyche and extracted a list (just for you) of all the things that drive men mad (and not in the way we want to!).

Here we have a brutally honest and slightly frustrating look into their thinking about our clothing choices and beauty picks.

Too much make-up

Put away your Urban Decay Naked palette, the verdict is in and guys say that less is definitely more, and minimal make-up is here to stay. Keep it simple, he'll love it!

Showing too much skin

We all know guys can't resist a glimpse of skin (anywhere from our cleavage to legs), but studies show that guys think too much skin really isn't that sexy. We're in no way suggesting that you have to cover up your curves, but maybe try to leave something his imagination with subtly sexy outfits!

Over-styled hair

Men are very tactile creatures and to most, there's nothing sexier than running their hands through a girls soft, silky locks. High, slick ponies and ballet buns are a date night no-no. As with the make-up, simplicity is key. Opt for tousled, natural waves – it's as easy as that!

Ridiculously high heels

While high heels can be a girl's greatest asset (if you know what we mean), there is definitely such a thing as too high. Skip the sky high platforms that crush your feet (and your soul), throw on some appropriate (yet no less stunning) wedges and enjoy your night out – your feet will thank you in the morning!

Oversized fashion

Despite the fact that they don't like too much skin, ask any guy and he will tell you that he hates the trends that hide your fabulous figure. Everything from boyfriend jeans and culottes, to maxi dresses and play-suits – he can't stand them...

Anything high waisted

For some bizarre reason, boys hate almost anything high waisted. Shorts, skirts, jeans, you name it - they're not a fan. Apparently, it reminds them of their mum, personally we think it denies them prime viewing of your derrière – just a thought but it explains a lot!

Over the top accessories

It's common knowledge that oversized sunglasses have always been a pet hate for most guys, and we can see why. Of course he hates that they swallow up almost all of your pretty face! But the list now extends to big, floppy hats and chunky/ statement jewellery. The overwhelming trend seems to be that of simplicity, so we will put this down to the basic fact that he thinks you're gorgeous, just the way you are.

Push up bras

Two words: false advertising.

Fake tan

While of course no guy can resist a sun-kissed glow, the people have spoken and to them, there's nothing worse than a bad fake tan. But of course, what he doesn't know won't hurt him. If you know how to achieve a flawless, natural tan, go for it, but if he can see the streaks, smell the coconut or feel the stickiness it, it's best to skip your usual Thursday night routine.

Claw like nails

Now, this is not an excuse to revert back to your sad, bitten nails of 2010. There's nothing wrong with a pretty, polished manicure, but guys definitely prefer a natural look.

For the most part, we love this list. Minimal, natural beauty is all the rage at the moment and we couldn't be more for it. But, in saying that, it's important to dress for yourself, so if you can't resist pulling on your boyfriend jeans on the weekend or donning a red lip for a night out, go for it (no matter what he thinks!).

An Extraordinary Ordinary Day with Ashley Lim

We caught up with footwear designer Ashley Lim to talk career switches, upcoming collections, and her thoughts on stilettos.

Woman smiling black and white photo

Ashley Lim is the trained architect who has fused her passion of architecture and fashion to create the effortlessly chic leather footwear label, Extraordinary Ordinary Day (EOD).

As a qualified architect, what was the turning point that inspired you to make the daunting and somewhat peculiar transition into fashion?

AL: I always wanted to work in fashion, but growing up in Seoul I was swayed by the cultural pressure to pursue a more logical choice for an artistic pursuit; one that had a clear career path and architecture offered that. I see more similarities (between architecture and fashion) rather than differences between the forms of both disciplines. The only daunting thing was running my own business, which was a completely new challenge for me.

EOD is all about the seamless combination of comfort and style. Do you feel as though your experience as an architect has enabled you to create this balance?

AL: Absolutely. Having an architecture background allows me to look carefully at design details and execute accordingly. My passion for comfort, however, comes from my experience as a woman who has worn a lifetime of shoes and has no desire to waste my feet on painful heels when I'm running around to meetings all day.

[RELATED: The accessory trends you have to try for Autumn 2016]

In your opinion, can the increasingly popular 'statement sneaker' ever replace the more traditional sky high stiletto?

AL: Statement sneakers are worn for looking trendy and being comfortable, while stilettos are used for confidence and status because they create an upright posture with an elongated look. The problem with stilettos, though, is that they are unbearably uncomfortable and negatively affect your body, particularly the spine. That's why I'm driven to offer stylish shoes that can produce that confidence and elegance, but within a comfortable design.

What is your go-to everyday shoe of choice?

AL: Definitely my Venus d'Orsay flats – the leather is so soft it's like a second skin. I also like to wear them without the ankle straps so I can take my shoes off easily. My other go-to shoes are my Ecstasy silver loafers. I love metallic silver, because it's so easy to use to make a statement with any outfit, especially black or white.

Women modeling shoes against concrete bricks

What emerging trends and new designs can we expect to see from EOD this season?

AL: We're very excited about our line of comfortable, low-heel pumps that make transitioning from home to work effortless.

Do you feel as though your Korean heritage is evident in your designs?

AL: Not really. My upbringing in Seoul was confined to strict social conventions, so it wasn't until my migration to Australia that I opened my eyes to creative possibilities and true self-expression. What did come out of my Korean heritage is my direct contact with high-end artisans in Seoul that handcraft some of the world's best shoes and leather goods.

What would you say to all the ladies out there coming home from work crippled from their uncomfortable heels?

AL: I feel your pain, and I'm here for you.

What are your goals for EOD? What's next?

AL: An inspiring retail flagship... and maybe motherhood.
