Fingermouthing: This trend will lift your selfie game

We've all heard of (and perfected) the duck face and the fish gape. Now there's a new pose to lift your selfie game, introducing fingermouthing.

We've all heard of (and perfected) the duck face and the fish gape. Now there's a new pose to lift your selfie game, introducing fingermouthing.

Sported by the likes of Kylie Jenner, Ashley Benson and Khloe Kardashian, fingermouthing is the method of strategically dangling a finger in front of your lips to create a completely off guard, candid pose (although we know that it's the 100th selfie you've taken, don't lie).

Pioneer of the questionably named trend, Kylie Jenner revealed in an interview with Elle UK that she began posing with her fingers in front of her mouth because she felt self-conscious about her lips.

“I was so insecure about my lips. Even now I always post photos where my finger is always in front of my mouth...it's a habit. I would always cover my lips. couldn't even talk to people,” said Jenner.

We're happy that King Kylie has now found peace with her enviable lips, and we would also like to thank her for providing us with yet another, seductive pose to perfect.

What's more, fingermouthing is the perfect way to subtly show off your fresh manicure, especially if your nails match your pout- what more can you love?

We're off to pretend like we're not practicing our fingermouthing pose. If you need us, you'll know where to find us.
