Benjamin Ringuet talks the key pieces that every woman needs

Ringuet is a Brisbane based luxury brand who specialises in creating romantic, timeless pieces. We spoke to the creator and designer of the label, Benjamin Ringuet, about the brands national and international success, where he finds his inspiration and the key killer pieces that every woman needs in her wardrobe.

Can you tell us a little about how your journey in fashion began?

BR: I studied fashion design and business at Metropolitan South Institute of Tafe in Brisbane. After finishing I was accepted into an incubator program at The University of Queensland.

Ringuet is renowned for its beautiful feminine silhouettes and designs. Where do you find such inspiration to create such fun, beautiful pieces?

BR: I find inspiration in music, art and my imagination. I also listen to feedback from my market and customers.

What do you love most about being a designer?

BR: Having the opportunity to inspire people, meet customers and be fully self-expressed.

What is your ultimate styling tip?

BR: Complement your statement style with minimal accessories.

What is one killer item of clothing every woman should own in her wardrobe?

BR: A beautiful timeless dress, no matter if it is print or basic.

How would you describe Brisbane's sense of style?

BR: Forever growing and evolving.

You’ve been involved in the Brisbane fashion scene since 2013. Have you noticed that Brisbane is finally being recognised nationally and internationally for its fashion movement?

BR: I believe Brisbane designers are already recognised world wide due to the success of brands like Sass and Bide.

What's next?

BR: Continue to do what I love with a chance to inspire others to pursue their own talent and dreams.
