This year’s show will feature beautiful sustainable fashions created by local and international designers, including Pure Pod and Prophetik just to name a few.
Undress Runway director, Eddie Hamar, is thrilled with the designs which will be showcased this year, some designers who have been at Undress runway before who are showcasing their new designs and some fresh talent.

“We’ll be working with some incredible brands this year... the innovation behind some of these labels when it comes to sustainability is inspiring,” said Ms Hamar.

The beauty of the sustainable garments featured on the runway proves that you can still make a fashion statement while caring for the environment.

“We’re blown away by how these brands are able to bring such a high level of sophistication and aesthetic to their garments without putting the environment or the people involved in the manufacturing process in a compromised position,” said Ms Hamar.

This year’s Undress Runway is set to be the biggest ever, with big name sponsors including BMW i and The Fabric Store, Undress Runways launch of their sustainable fashion magazine, The Naked Magazine and their sustainable clothing label, VIHN.

With the fashion show running only for one night in each city, tickets are set to sell out fast!

“Our Brisbane show sells out quite quickly each year, as did our first Melbourne show last year...if you want to see one of the shows, you’ve got to get in fast,” said Ms Hamar.

Undress Runway will commence in Brisbane on October 10th, in Sydney on October 17th and then conclude in Melbourne on October 24th. For more information and tickets can be purchased here.

This Kardashian-Jenner cover is causing major controversy

There's been a whole lot of controversy, or should we say kontroversy, over the Kardhasian-Jenner clans magazine cover for the 50th birthday issue of US Cosmopolitan.

Whilst by just seeing the reality stars is enough to enrage most people, it’s the accompanying text alongside the image of the Kardashian-Jenner women in crisp white shirts which is causing said outrage, stating the clan is “America’s First Family”.

Why? Well because the cover, the first of all the women together since 2011, is directly comparing the Kardashian-Jenner’s, who are famous for being, well... famous, to America’s actual first family, the Obama’s.

Cosmopolitans shade towards the Obama’s has caused many readers, or should we say ex-readers, to launch numerous angry tirades to the magazine on their social media accounts.

However, there have been rumours that the disrespect is being created for publicity,as Cosmo’s Editor in chief, Joanna Coles, stated on her Twitter that she is open to conversation about the magazine's November cover.

No word yet from either the Obama’s or the Kardashian-Jenner’s, although we are suspicious that this could be yet another ploy for the Kardashian-Jenner's to take over the world.

"Chanel Airlines" jet sets for SS16 show

Chanel will be transporting their fashion show to cloud nine on “Chanel Airlines” for their SS16 show at Paris Fashion Week set to take off today at 10.30am Paris time (6.30pm AEST).

The luxury travel theme has been a predominate subject for the couture houses previous shows. Creative director and mastermind behind the dramatic fashion shows, Karl Lagerfeld, had models exit from two Chanel-branded jets for the 2008 Cruise show, and held the Spring 2012 Couture show in an exact replica of an Airbus A380.

We can bet all attendees to the much anticipated show will receive a first class experience.

The real reason Instagram banned female nipples

When it comes to violating the rules of Instagram, posting a photo of a female nipple is a big no-no! You are most likely to get your photo removed. Just ask Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, or Chelsea Handler along with all the other females who had their photos removed.

The issue of male nipple versus female nipple has caused many users to rally against this double standard, bringing forth the #freethenipple hashtag! Advocates are Photoshopping male nipples onto female bodies and posting images where female nipples are covered with X’s, all to make a point.

This has been going on for almost a year and finally, Instagram has responded! Business Insider reports that Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom has finally explained one of the key reasons that the company censors pictures of female nipples! And it is not quite what you would have expected... Blame the iPhone is what Instagram has said! Apple’s App Store has strict guidelines on what kind of content is allowed and violating these rules could cause the app to be removed. In order to keep Instagram available for iPhones, it has to abide by the company's standards. Unless the app is specifically restricted for adults only, it can’t feature any nudity.

Despite the censorship, Instagram remains “committed to artistic freedom,” according to Systrom. He continued that “in order to scale effectively there are [some] tough calls.” For Instagram, banning #FreeTheNipple is one of these tough calls. Apple has not yet responded but we are interested to see how they receive the blame.

Rick Owens controversially showcases his SS16 collections

We all know that fashion can be a pretty out there, especially when it comes to high fashion. Rick Owens, known for his controversial fashion shows, took the craziness to a whole new level at Paris Fashion week, sending his models draped- or better, straddled- by other models for his SS16 collection.

The harnessed models hung upside down against the walking models, almost like backpacks, making it confusing as to what the looks actually were. If purchasing items from the collection would we need to find someone willing to strap to our bodies?!

A photo posted by The Business of Fashion (@bof) on

However, the message behind the confusing show has been cleared up on by Owens himself, who told Dazed that the show is a nod to feminism.

"Women raising women, women becoming women, and women supporting women,” said Owens.

We’re just impressed by how strong some of these fashion models can be.

How to take the perfect sexy selfie minus the duck face

FishGape01

Attempting to take the perfect selfie can be such a time waster. After you've tried to snap at least 50 different angles and find the right backdrop and lighting, you finally end up choosing the one that best shows off your features.

And if you're anything like us, you would agree that the famous duck face has quickly become exhausted. But that is why there's a new face in town and it's also named after an animal.

That's right ladies, the duck face is no longer a thing, the new look is now the fish gape. Best seen on the red carpets and on famous Instagram feeds worldwide, our favourite celebrities have conquered this look to be picture perfect and flawless at all times.

FishGape03

So what are they actually doing here? Well, The Daily Mail have pointed out that they are sucking in their cheeks while keeping their lips slightly parted which results in the fish gape.

It's seriously fierce and so damn sexy. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jennifer Lopez and Gigi Hadid have owned the look like no other. So, excuse us while we go and take another 50 selfies to work this fish gape like a pro before the next trend pops up.
