Caitlyn Jenner's controversial opinion of gay marriage

Caitlyn Jenner has been the focus of celebrity media attention over the last few months. For the controversial decisions she has made, the press and public have been mostly embracing. So we aren’t quite sure why Caitlyn is publicly disapproving of gay marriage.

In a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Caitlyn said that although she traditionally did not agree with gay marriage, she’s now OK with it.

"I'm older than most people in the audience, and I kind of like tradition, you know, and it's always been a man and a woman," Caitlyn said. She quickly followed that statement with the fact that she would not stand in the way of anyone's happiness.

The gay marriage argument has been exhausted, let everyone be who they want to be, let them do what makes them happy! Caitlyn, being a public figure who has cried out all over our TV’s begging people to accept her and not ridicule her, should be the first to embrace that mindset.

Ellen was obviously taken aback by Caitlyn’s views and elaborated on the awkward situation during a later interview with Howard Stern, "Maybe she didn't want to dance with me because I'm a lesbian" she said. To Ellen, equality is equality (we get that!).

Interestingly enough Caitlyn has not yet commented on whether she will date men or women in the future.
