Sustainable fashion is making a major impact within the fashion industry, especially within Brisbane with the recent Undress Runway. The next exclusive event to take place is Recreate Brisbane, a one night only environmentally conscious runway event in celebration of National Recycling Week.

Taking place on the 13th of November in King George Square, Recreate aims to celebrate the adaptivity of paper and cardboard in creating wearable fashion, and has collaborated with Brisbane’s top designers, including George Wu, Roux May and Maiocchi to create a ten piece couture collection made entirely of recycled paper.

As well as the fabulous runway shows, Recreate is hosting a sustainable themed twilight market in conjunction with BrisStyle holders, with their stalls featuring handmade and eco-friendly items.

Recreate is free to the public, and in addition to the runway shows and market stalls, will feature food, live music and creative art installations, producing an atmospheric and eclectic event that Brisbane has become renowned for.

Three runway events, hosted by Those Two Girls will commence on the 13th of November at 5pm, 6.30pm and 8pm, with market stalls open from 4-9pm, and is a definite event for any Brisbane-based fashionista to attend to view the beautiful paper designs and learn more about sustainable fashion.
